Recall that, 10 days ago, Naira Marley appeared before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi for alleged internet fraud where he pled not guilty to charges against him.
The singer’s bail hearing was scheduled for today, May 30, 2019.
Wearing a dark blue shirt and black jeans, the singer was ushered into Court by members of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for his bail hearing.
A rowdy scene was caused by his fans who call themselves ‘Marlians’.
The motion for his bail was presented and the court granted him the bail on the conditions of; a Two Million Naira (2,000,000) bond, and two sureties, one with landed property and the other, a Civil Servant, not lower than a level officer.
The sum of 2 Million Naira has been paid to the Federal Government for his Bail and the Court is to reconvene October 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
Naira Marley is free till then.
