Ondo 2020: Deputy Governor yet to purchase our nomination, says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State on Monday said six persons have purchased its nomination and expression of interest forms for its July party primaries.

It said the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi was yet to shop for its nomination forms.

There were speculation last weekend that the Deputy Governor may need secretly purchased the forms following talks with the PDP national leadership that he would tend the party’s ticket.

But the Ondo PDP during a press statement Hon Bode Ayorinde, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, Hon Banji Ben Okunomo, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, Prince Godday Erewa and Olorogun Eddy Olafeso as people who have buy and collect the clearance certificate to verify their intention to hunt the mandate of the party to be considered for election as governorship candidate

The statement assured all the aspirants that the party wouldn’t disregard their long standing efforts at building the party and doesn’t intended to supply unfair advantages to any aspirant.

It said the allegations that the Deputy Governor has been considered because the candidate of the PDP was totally untrue and will be disregarded.

The statement reassured that the party was totally committed to the conduct of a free, fair, open and transparent gubernatorial primary.
